shoot it up.

so around 6:30 i went downstairs and asked hilary why the road was blocked to get into the campus parking lot for humbert. she told me that some people had heard some gun shots on the south side of campus and now some girls were out there watching it all. then the group of girls came in and told us more info.

i guess the guy shot at another guy. they said that he had been having it out with some people for the last few days. now he locked himself in the house and i heard there are hostages. the squat team and police are surrounding that area, the houses around have been evacuated, and for the moment no one is to go out of the dorm unless they want to be arrested (i told jon this and he said, "you want to pass go, take some pics for me?" like monopoly). i had gone over to meier hall and fooled around there told my roomie and some other people about it, prayed then headed to the practice room. then to the library. and last back to the dorm. the reason they wont let us out is some girls kept going out to watch and some were out smoking infront of humbert hall.

for a little bit they made everyone go upstairs and stay out of the loby. now it is your decision but we were told not to be by the windows. shelli is downstairs in her room sleeping, her bead against the window. in all honesty i am quite calm and not worried at all. yeah, that is crazy.

since we were stuck here in the dorm i went and hung out in a girls room with a group and we just talked about whatever came our ways. now i am extremely tired, not sure if classes are going to happen tomorrow and need to sleep. nothing i can do here, but i thought i would write it all down while it was still fresh in my mind.

did any of you see it on the news at all if you are near here? i think rapid city brodcasted some info on it. just wondering if it ever got to the rest of the state or surrounding states.
