this weekend was so awesome! we left on friday afternoon around four and drove two and a half hours to the middle of nowhere land in montana. the town we were near was called ekalak. on the way there we got stopped in nowhere land by a stop light, then almost hit two or three deer. the deer thing we decided was God because it was right around where we had missed the entrance to Trails End Ranch.
the lessons were totally awesome. the speaker was so great. he talked on friday night about Priority to know Him: hold to his teachings (John 8:31-31), Love one another (John 13:34-35), Abide in Him (John 2:7-8). On saturday morning we learned if you get into the word of God it will fully prepair you, and Give the word of God the authority (Proverbs 30:5, Psalm 119:11). In the evening we talked about Mattew 28:18-20 go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, HOW? dedication and focus (Phil 3:12-14), skills-become a skilled handler of God's word , have a life in faith and courage (Heb. 11:1 &13). On Sunday morning we learned how we are going to endure. II Tim. 2:3-7 become like a soldier, athlete, and farmer.
during the afternoon on saturday we had a lot of rockin things to do. we could go on the flying-squirel, jump of pole to a trapeze bar, zipline, a huge swing over the trees, and more. i did a lot of these. the hardes and most stomach wrenching was the one where you climb up on a 3-story high pole, stand up on the tiny top and jump off toward a trapeze bar. that was interesting. took a bit of guts and i did it. i am glad i did it though. the rest was fun too just not as nerve racking.
I met some really sweet girls at the retreat also. Shelli from down stairs in Humbert, Jill from Thomas hall (she is so sweet, i hung out with her the most), alisha is a junior and is totally awesome. there was other people that i met too but these three i hung out with the most.
when we went into town to get gas the gas station was an old one. the man had to walk outside to get the price of what had been pumped, the men in there were talking about one of their cows that had just died and how they are having a BBQ this weekend. then the main street was called morman St. And the small grocery store reminded me of china and had cigs on the counter, illegal, and it was just hickville.
the whole experience was totally awesome and God is good. I am very glad that I decided to go on the retreat! It was worth every dollar I paid and more!!!
