got my new digital camera today. here are a few pictures that jon and i randomly took.

other than the new camera not too much is happenin. im living with the inlaws for the few summer months. im working for dan as a merchandiser for the greenhouse in lakeville.
and now one picture lay taken, done
while another is still waiting to be shot
the film lay like a virgin, untouched by light
unvalued the time will soon be gone
grass waves in the wind, now left behind
the present spinning under the tires
the dark unscathed horizon far ahead
as miles pass beneath, time will never rewind
I sit here in the room. things packed all around me in dissay. friendships just begun, now ended. the lay unknown. the tunnel still dark. light faintly twinkles at the end like a piece of clitter shining in the sun. some things have been finished, other just begun, and still there is more to come. life is waiting for me to live it; the journal awaits my writings. yet, the clock still spins in the same direction, passed the same numbers, over and over again. pictures untaken, life not experienced, its time to start living. goodbye

the pic is one that i used for my presentation for sociology last week. oh that feels like forever ago.
i just finished the one more of my finals. im down four and have one left this afternoon from 3-5. the one i took this morning was my sociology, the one i need to do really well on. pray! hopefully, i think i did well, but i wont say for sure cause that always puts kinks in things. jon has two left this afternoon. he is thinking a 4.0 is on his way, except maybe for one class that will drop it. the professor is just bad rosenberg. yeah. so he will have all a's and then one b. i on the other hand am hopeing for a 3.5 gpa for this semester, if i actually get that, this semester i will have gotten the best grades yet since my surgery in five years ago. that is prety crazy. i think either way i should be above a 3.0 so that means here at UWS i have accumulated a gpa of higher than 3.0. ok, enough rambling. im prety excited about graduating with my AA degree tomorrow. i actually feel like i am getting somewhere in life. other than that, tonight is the pack up to get ready to move back down to the cities, work a bunch, make lots of money, and then move to denver at the end of july. fun
the load is on its way down... i got my sociology paper almost done, all i havee left is to do is fix a few things and add some more information about the women exclusion before the Chinese exclusion act of 1882. Then i have to finish my presentation about Chinese immigration. the pic of me, jon took while i was on my long sunday of writing the paper.

i turned in my game today. i think its ganna get a good grade; hopefully. psychology is an A for sure.

all that i have left are finals. exciting. Today is so beautiful, its around 70 degrees out and the sun is shining. a nap in the sun sounds so wornderful. beautiful, just beautiful. i feel so light and airy now that the load is down.

woohoo, i am on page 6 of 10-15 in a sociology paper that i'm turning the rough draft in tomorrow. the title of my post is the same as the title of the paper, i think you get the point. along with that paper i finished a 5pg liturature paper that is due monday, i have a chem test on monday and a game for psychology on tuesday. im a little buzzed on the load, but i will make it. i was smart and got the game done early, finished lit paper yesterday, and now only have 4 1/2 pages left on the soc paper and then studying for chem. whoo. *sigh* i can do this!
around me i have 8 books strewed out open and notes lying around on the table and desk. its crazyness. yeppers
to start out the day we watched "How to speak Minnesotan" for the last day of classes before our presentations are due. I talked to Dr. Ball after class and he said that I could do some extra credit or something to up my grade. I am a little worried about that class. it's a tuff one and i have to pass it to get me AA degree.
When I was in Sunquist I talked to another proffesor: Dr. Sutter. He teaches my english class, the poet that I mentioned in another blog. I talked to him about the next essay due on monday, i'm having trouble with the comparrison. We ended up talking about what I am going to college for. He said that I am a good writer and that I should minor in English because I have potential. That was great to hear, really encouraging, especially from a great professor and writer.
And last, the promethean got nominated for Outstanding Student Organization Award and the Distinguished Student Organization Event Award. I am going to the communication arts dept. awards get together next friday.
my mind is getting very foggy and dissasterous, like a dirty desk... i need a mind cleaning.

oh happy day; one more day of the semester is done, one less paper is due, and spring-time has peeked its way into superior. I got one of my papers back today, another A :) another thing to share is that there is this man that always comes out of hawkes hall next to jon and i's hall, and he is always singing. The man has to be in his 80s and he has a cane to walk with but his tune always gets my attention. It's so cute, an old man singing as he walks down the street. always the same tune too.
other than that, i'm getting excited to be going down to florida on thursday morning. the flight leaves at 6:30am so jon and I are leaving after he is done working on saturday night at 10pm. we will probably have to get some energy drinks and stay up all night.
a sunny day finally, and the snow that was said to come here from the lake affect drifted south of us.
dad should be proud, i have been driving stick shift lately and been doing it quite well! my cars wind shield wipers arent working so we left my car at jon's parents house so that hopefully jake, jon's brother, could fix them for us.
alright, going going... gone
ok, so the day wasnt perfect. actually it wasnt even close; but it was a good day. i accomplished a few things.
i have been meaning to write for a week or so but i have been prety lazy and havent. not too much has been happening around here. yesterday jon and i went and saw our friend jake play the piano at the open microphone night at amazing grace cafe. he did a great job, but was prety nervous. there was another guy there that was good on his electric guitar and we went with him to perkins after and sat around and talked until about 1:30am (and i wasnt even tired today in my class, crazy). but back to the open mike night. there was a chick that had her friend play the guitar and she made up a thing from the Duluth news Tribune, it was about frogs and how they need people to do frog surveys up here in the north land.
other than that, not much. i just finished some stuff for some of my class, wrote a personal narrative for english (on how i didnt have the plane ticket in Beijing), had two test on monday and am still not even half way through the week. i am so ready to be done with school! or at least done with the gen-eds. i need to have a class that interests me and where i am acually learning something that interests me. alright, i should stop wrighting, i was just zoning out staring at the door. im ganna go do my comic for next weeks paper. peace
In the vast valley, amongst the high mountains
In a foreign land across the sea
Where grass waves with the wind
God planted a seed for me
Daily He waters the delicate seed
She slowly develops within the earth
Soon He will allow her soil to become dry
And uproot her and send her across the sea to me
Here I wait to plant her roots in my soil
To water her in my own fields
With my apricot blossom she will grow
I will watch her grow and flower
Waiting, I pray for my precious lily blossom
so i have been thinking about poetry a lot lately so i went into my poems and read them over again. did you know, i have writen over 80 poems. that gets me too.
here are a few that i like and thought i would share again on my blog,
FADING
To wither away
Under the moon’s strong light
Slowly eroding
Until no longer in sight
Color dissolving
Beneath the dark sky’s gloom
Flowers wilting
Before the old man’s tomb
THE DEFEATED
She is a disappearing body
Withering away with the wind
Swooped into the spell of society
She’s falling further behind
Caught in the world’s tribulations
Feeling the hindrance of life
In the hold of hazardous emotions
Only bringing more strife
A hand reaches out
She shyly pulls away
Yet He still waits for her grasp
Patiently waiting for her to pray
His arms hold securely
Cradling her like His own child
Comforting in all His glory
He looked at her mistakes and smiled
